Originally from the Bay Area, Dylan returned to Waggonner & Ball in 2025, after working as an intern in the summer of 2024. Dylan is deeply committed to socially engaging design which is responsive to the natural world. She graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Minor in Landscape Architecture.
While at WashU, Dylan explored a variety of topics related to the overlap of architecture and the environment through projects involving multi-scale mapping, adaptive reuse, and planting design.
While at WashU, Dylan served as a Teaching Assistant for Environmental Systems and as a Research Assistant for projects centered around circular design and urban mining. She has a continued investment in designing buildings which are both resilient and climate positive. She also contributed as a Research Assistant to Pyro Futures, a book with the University of California Davis which explores the role of natural fire in resilient design. Dylan also brings experience in residential design in the Wildland Urban Interface of California. Dylan’s experience with design as it relates to fire honed her interest in projects related to long term climate adaptations, across a variety of scales. At Waggonner & Ball, Dylan combines all of her interests and experiences, and is currently working on socially engaged architecture and landscape resiliency projects.
