Dixon is a senior architect and project manager at Waggonner & Ball, a cross-disciplinary design studio at the intersection of architecture, landscape, and resilient urban planning. With a background community resilience studies, adaptive re-use, and construction, he observes and responds to an environment through a better understating of place. Dixon looks to continuously build professional relationships for the collaboration of knowledge and successful team building to deliver creative project solutions.
Dixon is passionate about the role he performs in the design and sensitive implementation of strategic resilience projects. Whether an adaptive re-use historic structure or a coastal storm surge barrier, he is dedicated to generating solutions through understanding a projects broader sense of place and critical influences. It is not by chance that we have Dixon overseeing; the Coastal Storm Risk Management Plan for The City of Norfolk, VA, the implementation of a storm water resilience park, and the design-build of the new Waggonner & Ball New Orleans Studio in a revitalized historic structure.
As a strong proponent of instilling resilience across architecture and the environment, Dixon is passionate about designing for the future while examining lessons learned and past successes of the industry.
