In over thirty years of practice managing complex teams, Leonard has forged successful, positive relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and other design professionals in the shared goal of delivering successful projects. As a senior leader, Leonard has managed complex, phased planning and design projects for large institutional, government, corporate, healthcare, and branded environments clients including Haworth, Fidelity Investments, Columbia University Medical Center, and the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum.
Most recently, Leonard completed a six year assignment with the United Nations Capital Master Plan at the UN’s New York headquarters providing design and management oversight as part of a larger multidisciplinary team delivering the reconstruction and restoration of the UN’s historic campus accommodating over 8000 users in over 3 million square feet. Scope included functional programming, phased implementation strategies, and delivery of multiple interior and exterior historic restoration and campus planning projects.
As Director at Waggonner & Ball Architecture/Environment, Leonard continues to provide design and management oversight to project teams while directing the firm’s broader operations.
