Ramiro is an architectural designer, planner, and photographer employed at Waggonner & Ball Architects since 2004. He is responsible for the production and manipulation of cartography graphics using GIS software. Ramiro played a key role in the Dutch Dialogues and the Greater New Orleans Urban Water Plan, participating in design workshops and designing solutions at regional and district-level scales. For NDRC New Orleans, Ramiro coordinated with both consultants and the City of New Orleans to develop extensive mapping of the Gentilly area in order to quantify need and determine project focus areas.
Through research and experience, Ramiro has become an expert on the history of New Orleans and its architecture, landscape, and water systems. He has given public presentations about sustainable urban water management at venues such as the APA and USGBC Greenbuild national conventions, CPEX Smart Growth, and the American Institute of Architects in New Orleans, Miami, and Basel, Switzerland. A graduate of Tulane University School of Architecture, he is a frequently invited guest critic and lecturer.
